When it comes to the battle for a young person’s mental health and well-being, parents often feel they are in the fight alone. Founded by Women H·E·R·E (W·H·E·R·E) in 2009, Coffee Days is a peer support group for women that meets monthly to share experiences, information and resources for teen and young adult mental health.
Coffee Days welcomes all women who seek support and encouragement as parents of young people with mental or emotional challenges.
W·H·E·R·E was formed in 2009 to bring together women who have a personal stake in the health and well-being of young people. W·H·E·R·E actively supports the mission and programs of the Grant Halliburton Foundation.
"Years ago, I recognized the need for a place—a free resource—where mothers struggling with a teen or young adult with mental health issues could find information, resources, encouragement and hope. So Coffee Days, a monthly peer-to-peer support group, was founded. I see moms coming to our gatherings desperate, fragile and afraid, and I see them leaving encouraged, stronger, and hopeful."
