ABOUT

One of the greatest challenges facing our community is the fragmentation of mental health services and resources. This is why the Grant Halliburton Foundation has launched I AM H·E·R·E, a working coalition that brings together key sectors of the community—schools, social services, mental health providers, and law enforcement and juvenile justice authorities—to strengthen the network of mental health services for teens, young adults and their families. We are calling all who hold a stake in the mental health and well-being of our youth to take a seat at this table. We need your experience, your expertise, and your vision.

I AM H·E·R·E TEAMS

I AM H·E·R·E coalition participants focus on four critical areas: Help. Education. Resources. Encouragement.
Team objectives:

Help
Develop a model for the ideal full spectrum of direct services that meet the mental health needs of teens, young adults and their families.

Education
Develop a comprehensive education and communications plan, including strategies and tools, which will have a major impact on awareness and understanding of teen and young adult mental health issues among our target audiences.

Resources
Develop a comprehensive compilation of all direct services, educational resources, and encouragement resources related to teen and young adult mental health that will serve as a one-stop source of information for our target audiences.

Encouragement
Develop a comprehensive network of peer-to-peer support services for teens and young adults with mental, behavioral and emotional disorders in our community, and develop the most effective means of delivery of these services.
